Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro/Pro Max gets Pixel Experience ROM designed to turn your device to a Google Pixel

 

MIUI 12 may be one of the most feature-rich and customizable Android skins out there but just doesn’t sit too well with a section of users.

Of course, its days of feeling ‘cheap’ and ‘cartoony’ are long gone considering Xiaomi’s commitment since the past couple of years to making the OS feel more mature and robust than ever.

However, MIUI 12 was released almost a year ago, and to say that there’s still a scope for improvement left would be an understatement. Reports of performance issues and annoying bugs are extremely common.

In fact, the situation got so bad that Xiaomi recently had to apologize for MIUI’s shortcomings in a QnA session hosted by none other than the MIUI Head of R&D himself.

Nonetheless, MIUI 12.5 stable is just around the corner for the eligible Xiaomi and Poco devices and has claimed to address some of the performance-related issues plaguing MIUI 12. We still wouldn’t get our hopes too high though.

Then there’s also the ads and bloatware but let’s just not talk about that.

This is where custom ROMs come to the rescue offering buttery smooth performance even on the cheapest of devices. Stock Android may not be the most feature-rich software experience around but perhaps this lacking is what makes it so snappy.
